Finch Adalene

My apologies, our beautiful baby girl has been here for 17 days and I haven't let the whole world know yet!!

Finch was born in the early morning on March 20th, the first day of spring. She was 7lbs 15 oz and 21 inches long! What a cutie! She was born at home, and born very quickly. We are so thankful for all the prayers, everything went perfect. When I had Townes, my contractions were so much harder and with her God just really minimized my pain. It was wonderful! Daddy got to catch her, he says he thinks it might be the coolest thing he's ever done. She came out screaming, good lungs like her momma.

We have been very busy with visitors and company. Danny's mom and sister have been her for a week and this coming friday we'll be joined by the rest of Danny's immediate family. Jenny (his sister), her husband and their 5 kids, and Ray ( mom's new husband). We are looking forward to sharing our new little bundle with everyone, and getting to show everyone our town and house. A little nervous about sharing ONE bathroom with 14 people, yikes!! They will all be here until the 15th of April, so if you don't hear from me...I'm a little busy!

I wish you all could see our two little blessing! Townes just LOVES his baby. He always climbs up in the couch gets into position and says " hold urrr". Very cute. He was saying " hold it" but momma thought he should know that she's a her! And when he's done he'll say " momma, all done", it's usually after about 10 sec. He is doing really well, with adjusting. The nice thing about having her at home, was he sleep though the whole thing and when he woke up the next morning there she was. Momma was home the whole time, no big deal! I think it really did help with the adjustment to having her here!

Our little beauty is just as good as gold. She sleeps great, eats great, and only fusses when she needs a good burp!

Just a few seconds old!

Happy Birthday Finch, celebrating her birth. About ten hours old!

Day of Birth.

3 days old.

Lauren Update

please continue to pray...
Latest Update: They determined that it is a stage IV Wilm's Tumor. She had two surgeries today and want to start chemo as soon as possible. This is a childhood cancer, that the doctors say have a very good prognosis. The survival rate is in the 80 percent. Although, that's high, it's a very serious situation. When you are putting a 3 yr old under the knife over and over again. Please pray for strength for her parents, James and Sarah. Sarah has just started her second trimester with baby 2 and the stress is a lot for her to handle at this stage in her pregnancy. James is also having an understandably hard time. They are staying at the hospital for the moment waiting a room at the Ronald McDonald house. Thank you again for all your prayers. If you would like to send them a card this is their address:

Please pray for LAUREN

Lauren Ballard, is a good friend's three year old. They just found out last night that she has a large tumor on her kidney. I don't know many details. She has been sick for a couple weeks, and yesterday they did an ultrasound and found the tumor. She was taken to Children's hospital about an hour away from their home to do more testing. This morning they were told that they want to remove the kidney entirely and to do chemo. Please pray that God will heal her little body and that chemo won't be needed. Also, her momma, Sarah, is about 4 months pregnant. Which is a fragile time in pregnancy, so pray that she can keep her health through all of this and the baby will be healthy. God is good.

As you can see..

It's a day past due date and our little princess seems to like momma's warm tummy! I'm totally cool with it as long as she's not gaining 1/2 lb a day. Ouch!!

Danny's a little anxious and ready for her to be here and birth to be over. He acts like he's the one doing the hardwork!

So hopefully soon we'll have a ton of cute little photos of our new addition and you all get to say wow what did they name her!

Yeah, that's right we have a name, and we love it!
