Memorial day parade in our backyard...ok, not really a parade just the high school band, a few veterans, girl scouts, and boy scouts. NO CANDY, can you believe it! Small town Iowa, gotta love it though it was in our backyard. Townes thought it was great. It wasn't even long enough for me to get time for a picture. Everyone in town was watching though!

Finch was a perfect baby sleeping hours at a time so we could work!

Townes had a lot of fun helping,

We want our kids to learn how to garden and work with they're hands, schooling starts early.

Started planting our hostas, we ordered some more. Adds a lot to the tree base! We also got tons of FREE mulch, gotta love that!

Danny made is awesome bird feeder, and I finally got to use my chopsticks from my Thailand trip in 2001!!

Our firepit. The neighbors got us an old tire rim, works great. Danny added the stone. Planted a lilac bush/tree(way in the back), painted my bench.

Danny and I got these railroad ties (oh my word they weigh a million pounds) to define our garden. Added two walkways, they took up a lot of room. We didn't our garden in until so late that we are just doing a variety of tomatoes, herbs, raspberries, green beans and carrots. We wanted to do more, but it's a lot of work right now. So next year we'll start earlier!! Hope harvest is good!

Danny's second bird feeder. Townes and him made together, out of household things. Very creative!
We had a great weekend very productive and enjoyable. We just love spring it's so beautiful. God is good.
