Do you really have time to post?

Ok, so I love the idea about blogging. I think it's a great way for people to stay connected with your family, but finding the time to do it, no way! It's frankly stresses me out.

I could spend hours reading about how all these susie homemakers live, cook, clean, craft, scrapbook, knit, make their own...well everything. And after i'm done reading them, I find that I'm not inspired to become more like that, I just find myself feeling like crap. Man, if I could only be like so and so...

I decided that reading blogs may someday be beneficial to me but right now with 2 kids 2 and under, i'm going to stick to what I do best...cleaning up poop and feeling good about it! LOL

I'll send out a shout out here and there, but I'm no longer going to STRESS about being a mama who can do it all. BTW, does anyone even read this thing?!

Hey, I ready your blog!! Don't let yourself feel like crap! I've done the same thing (and still do sometimes) and it's tough not to compare yourself to others, but you can't do it. I just try to get ideas from other blogs and if I have time, great! Usually I don't, but sometimes I make the time, if it's worth it for my family. Your family is most important, and if that means cleaning up poop for now, so be it. I do my fair share of poop cleaning--it's not fun, but it has to be done.
Love you!! Praying for you!

you know i read your stuff too, and enjoy it! :) and i agree w/ jo & kiki...do what works for you, and don't feel bad about it. you know your own strengths and limitations better than anyone else. the most important thing is loving the Lord, your man, and your kids. everything else is just 'extra' & insignificant!

The Hendley family reads this! I don't blog much anymore as well. There are more important things, as you duly noted.

Hey Jessie i read your blog! I love hearing about your life and getting to see your kids growing and changing. I say, do it when you can, no pressure. I am the same way. I would love to be consistent but oh well.

Most importantly, you are clearly an awesome mom and wife. Just keep doing what you do best!

I lof reading it and seeing the pics of you guys! But I get the stress feeling, too (not from having kids and needing to blog, but other more silly things like needing to be at work, but also figure out coaching stuff, but also keep my house in order, but also stay in touch with my family and friends, but also make sure I work out so I fit in my clothes...etc.). Don't stress, it's not good. =)

We read your blog!! and we love it! I understand the discouragement that comes after reading all the blogs out there written by moms who seem to do it all. There are times when it is very motivating...and times when it is just discouraging. Sometimes I need to get away from it all before God and remember who He is and who He is making me and find contentment in where He has me at the moment. You are an amazing wife and mama and I admire you greatly. Keep your eyes focused on Christ and not on others and you will find encouragement instead of discouragement (spoken to myself as well!). And keep posting (when you can of course, no pressure!)...we love hearing what's going on and seeing new pics! I'm actually getting ready to start blogging again myself....we'll see how that goes-ha ha! Just want to let people into our lives.

We read your blog too. Just know that whatever you do blog can be sucked up into a book someday (blurb.com does this), so it's not a wasted effort if you choose to spend time on it.
